It was a busy day today. I worked on yesterday's painting some more and started the underpainting for the next in the series. Both are still in progress.
From the Plein Air Workshop with John Kilduff from Let's Paint TV. This was the first time I've taken this sort of approach to a painting and worked with so much paint so quickly. It was a lot of fun.
Thanks to DFAC and Kelli for hosting such a cool event!
I didn't have time to post yesterday but here is the piece that I completed. This photograph and the one from Jan 4 were taken during my trip to Vancouver last month. They are pieces of styrofoam that I saw floating in the harbor and photographed. Today's post required minimal color correction in Photoshop CS3 and no cropping.
"Anti-bacterial" 12x16 Acrylic on 185lb paper Welcome to yet another painting-a-day blog.
I think the reason for doing this is fairly obvious. It will be a great exercise to get back into a creative flow.
My promise to you is that I will post daily regardless of how much I hate the piece for that day. I'm sure that the absolutely disgusting pieces will be your favorites.
